Some of you may not realize this, but Xiangshan is actually part of Ningbo. Even though it takes about an hour to get there, it remains a county under the administration of Ningbo.
On a trip there last year with my friends Ryan and Lee, I enjoyed a unique perspective at this coastal city to the south. I hope viewing these pictures makes these cold Ningbo days a little warmer!

Most of Xiangshans coast is rocky. But resorts exist on patches of beautiful beach, waiting for you.

Frisbee on the beach. Its a must. I never forget my frisbee, and i never regret bringing it. Ningbo has so many good frisbee places.

Hugs Scare Chinese: As a large framed guy, i always get a kick out of giving big hugs and lifting the small frail chinese girls i meet. It is similar to "Shock and Awe".

Lee is the king of strange faces. It seems i cannot take a picture of him without getting a contorted expression.

The meal we had on the coast in Xiangshan was a new experience for me. Particularly the steamed barnacles we had to pry directly from the stone.

This is a close up view of what ended up center stage on my dinner plate. I never looked at these and though... "yummy" until my visit to Xiangshan.
I had a wonderful experience in Xiangshan. Good friends, good food, nice beaches, beautiful scenery. Its just a short ride away. So get out and ex
